My name is Peter Frank and I'm a life-long Alaskan. I received my undergraduate and masters degrees from UAA and I work as a guidance counselor and coach hockey at Colony High School in Palmer. In 1983, University of Iowa graduate, Joan Walser, aimed her Datsun pickup north, landing a LA position in Pilot Station that fall.  Planning to teach a few years, she instead became committed to creating the best possible opportunities for Alaska’s children.
